The players did not believe in Coach Bustle and his plans for the team. So he did not get the full amount of exertion, participation, heart, and determination that Coach Hudspeth is.
"That's really big for me," added Lionel Stokes, a senior safety. "Being that it's my last season, I want to go out a winner. I (didn't) want a guy to come in here and try to rebuild, rebuild. I guess he came in and knew the need to win now. And that's what he wants to do, is win now."
"I think he's saying that because we have the personnel and the players to win right now," quarterback Chris Masson said. "And, you know, he's not crazy for thinking that.
"It's all about winning now," Lewis-Buchanan said. "We're not preparing for later years. "» The future is here now. It's time."
"It is very satisfying," Green added, "because it's my senior season, and I want to win right now and not three years later."
"You feel it (Hudspeth's energy)," Lewis-Buchanan said. "You believe what he's saying to you at every turn. His attitude is about winning, you know? It's all about winning. It's just a whole new attitude that he's brought.
"I was excited that he came in talking about winning right now, because I'm a senior, and I've been around, we've been around, for seasons where we 6-6 (in 2008 and 2009), and last year, coming off a 3-9 season, where the attitude is just 'let's turn it around a bit at a time.' But it's got to be now. There's a sense of urgency for us.
I cant wait for the bowl game, strap in and enjoy the ride!!!
