Dr. Gary Kinsland has practiced Geology and Geophysics since 1974.
He earned his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics and Geology from the University of Rochester. Getting his M.S. in 1971 and Ph.D. in 1974.
Dr. Kinsland has taught and practiced at Rochester, Arizona State University and has been at the University of Louisiana for almost 24 years.
He has been named Sigma Xi Outstanding Researcher and has been given the A.I. Leverson Award from AAPG.
Gary is affiliated with four geological and geophysical societies.
He has 34 publications to his credit, as well as numerous presentations at Industry and Government meetings.
He has served on National Science Foundation and Department of Energy panels.
Has worked with William Bassett in high pressure diamond cell Earth mantle phases and strengths.
