I called the recent history because volunteering has a l-o-n-g history at UL.

Back in 1913 students and fans actually built the stadium. It was inside of where the Quad is now halfway between the center and Stevens Hall.

Here is a Link to a picture of the stadium being built.

I really don't think 2002 was the first one, but I could be wrong. I think their were a couple of "unofficial" ones. I cannot believe it has been so long though..

I am with Zee, I do not miss these work days.

Fish, I remember we thought we had turned the corner with RB...little did we know it would still be 10 long years before we would be respectable on the football field.

I believe the first one was when we painted the top of the student side, then it started pouring and we watched the paint wash off and drain away.

The first United Louisiana Cajuns meeting was in early 2002 at the (can't think of the name) place where they built an on location studio for Jay Walker in the Westwood Shopping Center.

This was prior to a meeting with Gerald Hebert at the same place.

The next year we held the meeting at Petes.

It was the "Texas Tumbleweed steakhouse", or something like that? I remember the meeting.
