What? Once you sober up junior, you need to do a little research on this up and coming program. Where was siu in the early 70's, early 80's, and all of the 90's?
I'll sober up when you enter the 21st century old timer. lol
I have very little knowlege of SIU's program beyond the 90's. It could be that you guys had a phenominal program back in the 1970's. I don't know. If that is the case congrats. When I say "up and coming" I mean this century.

The above link is a CNNSI article on the Carbondale Coaching factory.

SIU does have some great history w/ Walt Frazier playing here...leading the team to a NIT. Maybe if there are some other dawgfans on this site they could provide more information... I confess I know noting about LALA's prestigious basketball history. Fill me in.

Or maybe we could just measure our schlongs and see whose is bigger. Yea, on that note,we shouldn't even play the game. lol

    That's funny....

I don;'t know if anyone is actually gonna hand any flyers out we are actually just having fan on the fan site. There has been some chatter about actually passing them out but I kinda doubt the students will organize for this...to many are on thanksgiving break. Most students don;t percieve this as a big game for us. I think they are wrong to overlook you guys but nothing can be done about it with the holiday break.

You guys like the avatar? lol

Classic avatar...I hope Big Mike sees it as well. Not that he needs anymore motivation to prove himself. He's quick, he's strong, and he deserves the chance to prove himself. He's payed his debt to society.

You left out: '67 winning NIT (back when it was still a real tournment), and beating Arizona in '77 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

All BS aside, I would be surprised if he has a good game, simply because it has been two years since he has played D1 ball, and it will be a very intense environment, trust me.

This game will be played in the high 50's maybe low 60's. SIU's defense is better now than it has ever been. Last week we held a team to 13 (15?) first half points and 31 for the game.

We swarm and get about 20 turnovers a game. You have young guards---your top three left last season didn't they? Your Young guards are going to be in way over their head. I will be shocked if they can handle our pressure. Our guards are the heart of our team. All of them have ample NCAA tourney experience, led by Tatum who is lights out.

So long as you and yours have NOT bought the officials, we will go toe to toe!!! Save the home cooking for the tailgaiting and we will take it, just bring it!!

    DaddyCajun!
I'm sure you guys have a good team, maybe a tourney team, and I will root for you guys after our game ends. But the chances of you guys coming up here and getting a win....not so good. Next to Nil. It would be like if SIU was talking trash to Gonzaga. We'd love to be where they are, but we are not there yet.

    I wish you a great season...starting Sunday.

He's quicker and more aggressive than when I watced him his first two years. He hasn't had a tough presence to battle inside since he's been back, but after going to 7 seven of the cajun practices...I'm excited. He looks ready.

Good luck guys hopefully it is a good one, thanks for posting.

    Like the smack talk.

I really think we should keep this game on each of our schedules.
