Ragin' Cajuns Re: 2005-06 Basketball Preview

With the rotation that Clutch suggested....I doubt if Lsu will be knocking on our door again to play on their home court....Cameron, Southall, Mitchell, Turner, Grahamn, Fields, Mouton, Ford, James, Hart, Grey, Barksdale, Woodfox all in rotation????? Who say's that this team will not be as exciting and productive as the 2004-05 squad.....I beg to differ! Yeah we lost three great guys...but look at what the other teams in our conference lost...just think of what shape Denver will be in! O. Greene had a spectacular high school career....do your research on Barksdale and Ed Turner! Hamilton is a Good ol' boy, great team player indeed.....Do you care to match Southall up against Hamilton on the court? Anyone? As far as a hot shooter, Wade was awesome....But I'll take three players who can shoot lights out versus having one ANYDAY! Grahamn, Fields, Woodfox....need more?

I think Joel Welser needs to do some more research! Cajuns win Sunbelt by a landslide! Bank on it!

It looks like all the tangibles seem to be in place for the 2005-06 team. The BIG question, will the intangible fall in place, team chemistry. Hopefully that will happen before we play the first game or soon thereafter. We need to get some good December wins so our RPI is in a respectable range.

I was just wondering what you guys think, a couple of years ago southall was one of the top centers coming out of high school, do you think he can return to that form?, because this year would be almost like his freshman year..... another thing, can anyone give an update on booker woodfox's status, i don't really know what's goin on wiht him i just know he was trying to gain eligibility

As far as I know, Southall is paying his way to attend summer school. If coach Lee approves of his scholastic performance as well as any other "paces" he's putting Michael through, then Dr. A and the NCAA still have to approve of him returning.

We lose a lot so it will be a very interesting season. I have this note not sure of the source, but it is in my handwriting, so I copied it from somewhere on the web.

Last I heard it's Southern Illinois to open the season (there) they lose Darren Brooks to the Mavericks
A tourney at Georgetown, I guess there vould be as many as 3 games
A game with Georgia State don't know if it is here or there.
    Bracket Buster game in Feb.
    LA Tech road
    Charlotte road
    McNeese at Louisiana
    Reno Nevada, road
