Anyone know when that tournament at Gorgetown is? Their message board has has them playing Fairfield on Dec 11th. Could this be the date? That would be an awesome road trip.

The Georgetown tournament is Dec. 19-22. We will play Georgetown, Towson and tennessee Tech. There's a day off on the 21st.

    Cajuns at home
    Georgia State
    McNeese St.
    Bracket Buster
    Charlotte
    Southern-New Orleans

    Road
    Louisiana Tech
    Georgia State
    Memphis
    Southern Illinois
    Nevada
    Georgetown Tournament

Last game will probably be either at UAB or at Tennessee, with a return visit scheduled in the future at the Dome.

That looks like a great schedule to me. Sufficiently challenging for some RPI respect, yet some chances to knock off some solid programs and a couple of nice home contests as well.

Looks good except for Southern-New Orleans. Are they even D-1? If they are not, then why in the hell are we playing them. I would much rather play a bottom of the rung D-1 team on the road than this.

They are not a D-1 school. Coach didn't want to play just 11 home games. Also, a "bottom of the rung" D-1 hurts your RPI. This does not.

Please explain how it does not hurt our RPI. Does that mean that it does not affect our RPI at all because they are not D-1?

    Thanks for the info.

Yeah, the way it works is, if you play a non D-1, the RPI treats it like you didn't play the game at all. That's not a good thing if you don't play a full compliment of games. This year, because the G'town tournament, we have more than a full compliment.

Thanks. You learn something new everyday. I still would rather play a D-1 school, even if it meant playing on the road.
