I agree, it's that guy's loss if he doesn't show up for the games. MS has paid his debts that he owed, and I believe in clean slates. Why would you give up on a guy when it seems as if he's really trying to make it? And like it's been said before, if Gen. Lee says he's ok, then he's fine by me.

Glad to know we are ruffling some feathers even before the game...

This will be a good early season test for both of our teams.

Our student section is known for being fairly clever and really getting under the skin of the other team. That might be part of the reason for the 55-1 home record over the last few years. You guys got a bit of a break this time though as our thanksgiving break starts this week and there may not be as many students on campus.

I'm not sure they will come up with prison jumpsuits but damm that would be great too. I'll mention it, thanks...

I think "Jail bird" and "felon" chants are to be expected. If Southalll does well here he will do well anywhere.

That is pretty funny. Southall knows that he is in for this kind of treatment. The best way to shut them up is kick their teams fanny. Those phone calls from people like that make me laugh. They should be asked how many games did they go to last year? The answer is probably none anyway.

Welcome, dont flatter yourself, though... With everything S'hall has been thru, only a guy coming out of the stands w/ a gun would shake him...

I personally don't like it--let sleeping 6'10" 236 lb cajuns lie is my motto.

What may be more upsetting to him and his teammates is the type of defense we play--very, very physical. In fact our point guard Tony Young was almost slugged a couple of times last season because he is literally up in the face of the guy he's defending--I'll bet that bothers Southall more a than any stupid sign.

I am predicting a game in the 60's.

We only lost our top 3 scorers so I decided to predict a score higher than anything we did last year.

I love the faith in your team but man...you guys are crazey!

Out of the last 56 games, only one has walked out of Carbondale with a Win. One team since 2002.

This game will be played in the high 50's maybe low 60's. SIU's defense is better now than it has ever been. Last week we held a team to 13 (15?) first half points and 31 for the game.

We swarm and get about 20 turnovers a game. You have young guards---your top three left last season didn't they? Your Young guards are going to be in way over their head. I will be shocked if they can handle our pressure. Our guards are the heart of our team. All of them have ample NCAA tourney experience, led by Tatum who is lights out.

I'm sure you guys have a good team, maybe a tourney team, and I will root for you guys after our game ends. But the chances of you guys coming up here and getting a win....not so good. Next to Nil. It would be like if SIU was talking trash to Gonzaga. We'd love to be where they are, but we are not there yet.
