Thread: Greetings from Cowboy Country

    Default Greetings from Cowboy Country

First, my apologies if I posted this in the wrong forum. Last season many of the OSU faithful traveled to your campus and were treated to a wonderful visit by your gracious fans. We at orangepower.com wish to return the favor by inviting any and all of you Ragin Cajun fans who will be in Stillwater for the opener on Sept. 3rd. Our tailgate will be set up due north of the Cowgirl softball field on the north side of McElroy Street. This is two blocks north of Boone Pickens Stadium. I look forward to visiting with you, talking some football, and throwing down some food and libations. Good luck in your upcoming season, and hope to see you soon. GO POKES!

Thanks for the gracious invite. I know there are quite a few fans from this site going to the game so you should get some response. I was a little disappointed in the crowd last year as I expected a sellout but oh well. I'm sure it will be a great atmosphere with the Pokes being ranked so high and with a lot of expectations. Good luck.

Thanks, Still contemplating the trip, but you might want to send this note to our local Radio Announcer, Jay Walker @ jay@espn1420.com.

He will get the word out there on the air.

Thanks for the invite! Yes,the Cowboys fans were very humble and friendly. I am currently trying to talk the wife into making the trip since my mother lives about 3 hrs. from Stillwater. My mom could spend time with her grandchildren while my wife and I go to the game. As simple as it sounds my wife does not think it is a good idea. I still have about 9 days to change her mind! Wish me luck. I sure hope to see the wonderful facilities at OK ST. that I've heard so much about! GEAUX CAJUNS!!

    The official ORANGEPOWER.COM tailgate!

The Ragin Cajuns are coming to town and that means it’s finally GAME DAY!! This year we have several changes so, please read carefully!! Our goal is to have a common place for everyone to meet, eat, and be orange...but this year we are also scaling back some and asking everyone to bring their own snacks and beverages...and we will provide the main meal.

Where: THE CORRAL!! Don’t know where The Corral is? It’s the new tailgate area north of McElroy. We will be set up just north of McElroy on Knoblock.
When: All lots open at 8AM…so it looks like 8AM it is!!
Who: Anyone who wears orange, cheers loud, knows how to behave and can clean up after yourself! And of course any of our Louisiana guests are welcome!!
What to bring: Orange attitude, chairs…and your own snacks/ beverages.
What we will provide: Food for 75-80 people…Serving time TBD. Traditionally we serve after The Walk, but with all the new changes, we may change that.
Menu: BBQ brisket, ribs, beans, and dessert.

The PCW mini bar will not be in attendance the first 2 games, but Randy and Chris will be in attendance…and that is more important! The PCW mini bar will be in attendance in some form the rest of the season, so stay tuned!!

We will also have some tables and tents, as well as a TV set up to enjoy the earlier games.

As always, donations to offset the cost of food are appreciated. To avoid donation confusion, we will have someone standing at the beginning of the food line with a donation bucket.

I look forward to seeing everyone as we christen The Corral!!

Here's a map of the campus, the tailgate location is on Knoblock Street a block north of BPS in the area marked "Street Parking" hope to see the Cajun faithful there on Saturday.

ALSO though it says bring your own snacks and beverages, I will have a full keg of Fat Tire on hand for your enjoyment
