    Default Griffen Faces High Expectations

Fr. High School All-American RB Qyen Griffen comes in to Louisiana’s football program as the most highly touted recruit in the Ragin’Cajuns 2011 Class. The “5-10”, 225-pound back was named Mississippi’s 2010 Mr. Football playing on a National Champion South Panola team, but you wouldn’t know it from his quiet demeanor.

I like both the players he compared himself to in this article,
But by the time he is a Junior or Senior, I hope to see him make his own style of player so that other Running backs will compare themselves to HIM. Cant wait to watch this guy in action on Cajun Field!

He is a very quiet and modest kid.

Qyen is going to provide something we haven't had in a while and that's a back that can hopefully move the chains even when a hole may not be there. He's going to be a downhill runner that is better in the passing game than we all thought. However, we need to temper our expectations as well. He's gotten a ton of press and fans are looking for someone to turn the program around. We have some good pieces in place to do it but this kid is not going to put up monster numbers this year. He'll be behind Spikes who has had a great offseason and probably behind Harris who not many are talking about. Both of them will contribute but won't be screaming Heisman either.
