Yeah, one of them was really easy....that would be Louisiana!

Heh heh. Yep, Louisiana is the last school to do it (clue).

Georgia Tech ('94) was the other school, as correctly guessed by Jay on the Delphi board. The Yellow Jackets went 3-1 in the '94 CWS, losing the championship game to Oklahoma.

The answer is the state of Massachusetts.

Harvard (4), Boston College (4), Holy Cross (4), Massachusetts (2), Springfield College (2), Northeastern, Tufts

    Brian
I knew that........ (sure I did)

  8. UL Baseball CWS Trivia Question #3 ...

The NCAA went to a 48-team postseason tournament (eight regionals of six teams) in 1987 and a 64-team postseason tournament in 1999 (sixteen regionals of four teams). If Arizona State defeats Florida tonight, it will mark the sixth time that a non #1 regional seed (1999 -> present) or #3 regional seed or below (1987 -> 1998) has made the final pairing of two in the College World Series. What other schools can claim such a distinction?

    Brian

One of these is correct, even though the spelling is not.

Wichita State was a #3 seed in 1993 and lost to LSU in the CWS championship game. The Shockers went 3-1 in the CWS that year.

    OK fine, my next guesses

Even thought I couldve swore that LSU A&M won it one year when they werent a #1, i will go with:

    Georgia Tech
    Pepperdine
    Oklahoma St.
    Alabama

Pepperdine is correct. They were a #3 seed in 1992 when they won the national championship.

LSU was a #1 seed in all of its national championship years ('91, '93, '96, '97, and '00). LSU has never made the final and not won.
