Hudspeth recognizes that not having many penalties is a sign of an unaggressive program, not just a disciplined program. If he is first trying to instill more physical play and overall confidence... you clean things up later. He isn't going to allow "stupid penalties" to go unaddressed. But, he isn't going to walk away at the end of our season saying "well, we didn't have a winning record... but we once again had the fewest penalties in the SBC".

I wouldn't describe our lack of penalties as "an area where we particularly shined". Quantity of penalties, maybe. But we always seemed to shoot ourselves in the foot a key moments in football games. I'd rather have 10 meaningless false starts than 1 crucial pass interference.

I like the attitude of the team. They can feel that they are about to turn the corner. The next few years are going to be fun to watch.
