The optimistic side of me says that they are doing this to make room for an aggressive season ticket drive. But who knows?

Anyone know why the deadline for purchasing season tickets for basketball is two months earlier than last year?

I think it is a great idea. In years past they waited till Midnight Madness to hold a season ticket drive.

Now how can you realistically hold a ticket drive when you don't know who is renewing or not? I would think the plan/hope is to have a huge drive to enlist first time season ticket holders. And in order for this to occur the season ticket renewals have to have gone out much earlier than ever before.
