I just caught left-hander Greg Wilborn of Eldorado (N.M.) High School pitching the 6th inning of the high schoolAll-American Game All Star game on Fox Sports Network. The game was June 13 in New Mexico. I assume it is being rerun all week.

He looked good in his UL cap too. Good luck Mr. Wilborn!

I didn't see his name listed on the roster. Was he a late addition? I see where he is from New Mexico, so he is a local. Maybe that is why he might be a last-minute replacement. Anyway, glad to see a UL signee do good!

I did not see his name either. His stuff is electric. He struggled a little with command, which is understandable being on national TV pitching at home. He looks like a kid who can have an "immediate impact", as they say. The announcers said he was generally regarded the best prep player in NM this year.

Got a chance to meet him when the Cajuns played in Las Cruces. Kid is a baseball junkie. Parents are very nice folks. He's really excited to be a Cajuns. Robe says he'll be a real factor in our plans next season.

Probably would have been a 10-15 round pick if he was interested in going pro. But the scouts knew he was committed to coming to UL so they didn't draft him.
