Except for the last year given, the following names and numbers are from official Louisiana audits of the University of Louisiana athletic budgets. The last year given is from the Daily Advertiser, which lists its source as “SunBelt Institutions”

In 1999-2000 it was called "Student Fees"
In 2000-2001 it was called "General Fund Transfer"
In 2001-2002 it's called "Institutional Support"

For these respective fiscal years the numbers are as follows

The Advertiser-Lafayette states in so many words that the source of funds for “Institutional Support” is not from internal UL funds or student fees but rather from the State of Louisiana. The article by Dan McDonald went on to show or say that this method replaced the former Student Fee method.
