That would be oustanding for them, but I dont think either would be drafted high enough to where we would have to fear them leaving. On the other hand, we may have some trouble with our recruits!

I also have a hard time believing that Cockrell wont get a look by some pro guys, if for nothing else, his versatility. Decent arm, Good Fielder, and a average batter. If they dont give him a look, their missing out.

That is the problem, Cockrell is just an average player. Words that you described him with...decent, good, average...that isn't really what scouts are looking for unfortunately. If he gets to pro ball I think he will do well because he plays hard and he plays with heart. But I am not expecting that.

Matt Green from ULM was just picked with the first pick of the 2nd round by Arizona.

Looks like Arizona likes some players from this state...They just drafted Micah Owings from Tulane in the 3rd round.

Some other LA guys to go so far have been Brian Bogusevic in the first round to the Astros, Jacob Marceaux from McNeese to the Marlins, and Beau Jones a pitcher from Destrehan High school to the Braves

Yea I had seen that. He was getting rated pretty high on predraft boards to but most had him going to the Astros but I guess once Bogusevic fell they chose him instead.
