Time to send the Tide packing. If we stay away from giving up another 4 run 1st inning, we can pull this one off. Go Cajuns!

Personally, I think that even if faught can go, you have to save him for the nightcap. The reason is that Alabama is not as good of a hitting squad as Tulane, so we should pitch accordingly. I say use Salazar against bama, Pecoraro in relief for that game. Against Tulane, use Faught to start, and Martinez/Collins in relief. For the game Monday, open the floodgates, Ardoin Start, Scham, and Sanders (all short stints on friday) as your closers. If our bats heat up, we have a chance. I wont get ahead of myself, Its gonna be hard, but realistically, this rotation is the only shot I think we have of winning this regional.

I agree. I don't think we can take a chance on using Faught today. I also think his arm is hurting more than anybody wants to let on.

Today is an elimination game. Empty out bullpen if necessary, even if that means having to use Ardoin today.

Will we have to beat Tulane twice on Monday or is it just a one game thing?

If the Cajuns were to beat Alabama this afternoon, they would play Tulane at 6:30pm.

We need to win two today to force a Monday showdown with Tulane for the regional championship.

It seem to me that you are "Right On" in your analysis. How many teams in the regionals do not have the use of their top 2 pitchers? Ardoin can't find the plate for whatever reason and Faught has a sore elbow and may not pitch at all in the regionals. I am certain of one thing, Kevin Ardoin, a kid that has carried this pitching staff for the past 3 years does not deserve to end his Cajun career like this. If the cajuns can get by Bama then Ardoin should start one of the remaining games. He deserves another bite of the apple.
