I know he never played for us, but that he was at UL for some period of time after he left LSU. May not be the brightest, but he can definitely play ball. I watched him in highschool and he always found a way to get on base (hit .500 senior year of HS). We can't be overlooking Alabama, as everyone is talking about how they will find tickets to the game 'when' we play Tulane. If we play like we did the past week, we'll be facing Southern on Saturday (once again I'm assuming Tulane lives up to their #1 seed).

    Thanks Digger

I wouldnt say that the BR region is a cake. Rice is a very good team and is who I believe will come out of that region. Looks like A&M will lost their first ever home regional.

Hey, do ya'll think that Hawke will get the start at 1st base for the regional? Or is Robe going to stick with Tatford who actually hit the ball in the conference tourney. Also, any final word on who will be on the mound for the Cajuns on Friday? GO CAJUNS.

Kevin Ardion 90% chance will start game # 1 although not final could change between now and friday night.

This is the lineup"I" believe will start friday night.

    1st--John Coker CF
    2nd--Josh Landry LF
    3rd--Justin Merindino 2B
4th-or-5th Dallas Morris 3B My bet Dallas would be in the 4 hole due
4th-or-5th Johnathan Lucroy DH to being more experience.
    6th--John McCarty RF
7th--Phillip Hawke 1B McCarthy hits lefty real well and should
8th--Micah Cockrell SS get the nod above Hawke
9th--Justin Morgan C Morgan & Cockrell could also flipflop

This lineup is real flexible but should be close to this. Geaux Cajuns......

I know Hawke would love to stick it to the tide since he comes from a family of long time Bama haters. He has had success against both Bama 2/3 at Minute Maid Park and Tulane 2/4 with a HR at Turchin in 2003.

Just got word from someone on the team that Ardoin is throwing against Alabama almost positively. Also said that the lineup is posted gameday so they aren't sure about Hawke/Tatford or whatnot. Alabama is supposed to throw Wade Leblanc, coming from the leftside with HEAT. Not sure how our record is against lefty's but I hope we can touch him up for some runs. GO CAJUNS, ROLL the TIDE.

Leblanc is a southpaw from Lake Charles(Barbe H.S.) that throws hard but we have faced many lefty's this year so me should be comfortable also 3 of our top contact hitters are lefty (Hawke-Landry-McCarthy)

As we've shown with pelphry earlier, the harder they throw, the harder we hit.
