Thread: Tracking the Preaux Career of Louisiana's Ladarius Green

ESPN's Todd Macshay.....Dwight Bently is having a very good week shutting down receivers. Could possibly be possibly a 2nd or 3rd round pick before this is over.

Damn that would be huge. I think Tillman is the highest/lowest (depending on how you look at it) draft pick ever. He went somewhere in the 30s I believe. Don't think any of those guys can beat that. However, PeeWee is hitting the league at the right time and Dwight is playing his rear off.

Yea that's basically what I found.

From Julio Jones' wiki page: "Atlanta had traded five draft picks to the Cleveland Browns to move up into their spot and take Jones, giving up their 27th, 59th, and 124th picks from the 2011 draft, and their first and fourth round picks from the 2012 draft."

Conclusion. To get Peewee the stupid Falcons would have to probably use their 2nd or 3rd round picks to get him. And after giving up so much to get Jones last year I'm not sure if they'll draft receiver/TE with the few early picks that they have. I could be wrong, but I really hope I'm right. Green will get drafted in a good spot I just hope it's not the Falcons taking him.

I'm tellin ya, He's not going to Atlanta. Atlanta doesn't draft until the 2nd round, which is where I think that Green will go, but I'd basically guarantee that he won't go to Atlanta in Round 2 because that will be Atlantas first pick, and usually with a teams first pick, they will try to find a player that will be a name that the fans know or a player that fills a need and I don't think the Green is either of those for Atlanta. I don't think that Green will end up in NO either with Graham there, no reason to draft 2 of the same type player and in the wide spread style of offense. If LG ends up in the NFC south, the highest chance is in Tampa where they need weapons for Freeman and Green could immediately become a huge target for him. Carolina has an outside chance, because they use a lot of 2 TE sets as both tight ends play like receivers with Olsen and Shockey, but Shockey finished his 1 year contract and may be on his way out and if that would be the case they MAY want to keep essentially the same offense this had this past season with a 2nd pass catching tight end, I wouldn't hold my breath though.

My key is, pass catching tight ends help out young QBs trying to develop by giving them an outlet, so look for Tampa, Jacksonville, Denver, Tennessee, St. Louis, or maybe even Cincinnati to give LG a shot.

The titans or the bengals would be a nice fit. Dalton is solid and Jake locker is going to be a stud

Agreed. Plus both are in the AFC, so fans of both the Saints and UL won't be torn.

Someone contact the Titans and tell them who they need to draft.

Mike Detiller and even Cajun T view Green more like Marcus Colson than Grahm, the new term a big receiver. My hope, agreed it is a long shot they deal away Colson who is going to be asking for way too much money, to get a first and second round player, but that is my hope. Saints deal Colson, and get a 1 and switch the 2nd pick. They use the first for more help on an weak defensive line, and Green to replace Colson.

People forget Colson will be in his seventh year as a receiver next year. Yea he is great, but for a receiver who never was fast that is getting a little long in the tooth. If I had to lose one guy next year due to salary issues, and Brees is of the table, it would not be Nicks. So I trade him to someone who does not want to risk an open market deal.

The Saints must be doing some crazy things with their roster. First they have Marcus Coleman, a safety who hasn't played in the league in 5 years, on the team. And now they have this guy Marcus Colson who's asking for a bunch of money. Good luck Marcuses because Marques Colston and Carl Nicks are asking for big money and the Saints really want them back.

What don't you understand about colston being a free agent? There is no dealing him, you pay him or he leaves, that's it.

Who is this Marquise Colquitt you speak of?
