The missus and I decided to drive from Bay St Louis , MS over to NO to attend a Zephyr vs Colorado Springs game last evening. Turns out the starting catcher for Col Springs was Danny Ardoin, who played college ball at McNeese. Incidentallcy, I was impressed by his abilities as a catcner. He not only has a helluva arm, but is stroking the ball at a .300+ average. Anyway, in the ninth inning the Sky Sox (odd name) brought in a relief pitcher by the name of Scott Dohman. If my feeble memory serves me correct, he is an ex Ragin Cajun from a few years back, and was sent to the Sky Sox by the parent club, Col Rockies for reason(s) I cannot recall. He completely shut down the Zepphyrs with a lively fast ball, and change up. Kind of an oddity in professional baseball to have a Ragin Cajun pitcherbeing caught by a McNeese cowboy, I think!
