Depends on how you look at it, it may spur RCAF donations in order to receive parking passes, or it may ____ fans off. Not having an above .500 winning season in 15 years make that tough to ask for all that in a short period. I'm a diehard fan and I would not mind even if I was not a RCAF member, but I am speaking for the majority here. How about just trying to focus on ways to enhance the benefit of being an RCAF member and grow the numbers for now.

no matter what ways they try to implement to raise extra funds as long as they are well planned out and not just on the fly im fine with it. In the past hey have had a few things which seemed like they were thought of the night before that just ticked people off more than anything.

As a whole-and i mean everyone not the rp members, fans are fickle and if you ask them for an extra dollar they scream "who do they think they are?" So the parking thing is going to rip people im sure, but if folks are educated on why it's important and not "just hand us your money" i think it could be done the right way.

Let's assume money raised.......what will the $40MM do for cajun field? How much additional seating.
This value makes me believe it will be a quite remarkable tramsformation. Can't wait to see what is in these plans!!!!!

That rendition is WAY more than a $40Mil project. But I love "Oil Man Stadium"...I think that my friends is a great idea!

The problem with charging for parking is a logistics one in my mind. Parking is always a cluster at Cajun Field and if you add taking money to the responsibilities of those people no one will ever get in the lot!
I would have to be at least $5 to justify the manpower of taking in the money.

That stadium looks amazing!! Really nice work, it should be sent to Mr. Farmer asap. I truly believe that if images like this were released to the public it would spur more donors to come forward. And then maybe we would raise enough money to get this project started soon.

Charging $5 for premium parking is minimal. Free parking could be available at Blackham Coliseum and ride the bus to the stadium. I am a RCAF member and pay far more to park closer. Coach Hud is asking us all to buy into winning. It's everyone responsibility to make this program a success.

Team work makes the dream work and I'm ready to live the dream. Great stadium renditions!

Get your parking ticket at Blackham, to park at Cajun Field.

If at the last second you want free . . . there you are.

Sorry, but that is not true. It pumps us up to see renditions of stadiums, but that is not how support will be raised. It will create pressure on UL, but it will not generate funds. First, Mr. Farmer and company have enough "renditions" of Cajun Field. We are beyond that. They have specific design options already engineered up to the point of estimating total construction costs, phased break points, and cost options.

What Mr. Farmer and company are doing is privately soliciting specific donors regarding their level of support. You can selectively leak concepts and have some people, like an over-ambitious coach, give out the hype stuff. It generates expectations and pressure, but it does not put money in the bank. When it comes to actuals, the stadium team is determining, based on known financial models, what money you have to have on-hand, what support commitments you can count on, and then what revenues you will generate once the stadium is in operation.

No one on here is going to send emails, images, ideas or anything else and change the plan... unless it includes a monster check (that clears). With Hudspeth recently speaking publicly about the stadium, it signals we are very close to launch. He is pressing the issue. He knows how much our management wants to have guarantees first... but that is simply not going to happen. The right stadium construction project is going to have to be a leap of faith to some extent. I think it has very little risk.

What has a lot of general Joe fans upset is that our management has had to put the stadium onhold. They were counting on Bustle getting us in a bowl or two 4 or 5 years ago. We simply have had no fanfare to get that final stadium push going. If our management had their druthers, they would like to wait until they see what Hud can deliver before they go full bore on the stadium mods. That cannot happen. If they do not move on the stadium, we will not have Hud or the most precious support system when it opens. Their backs are against the wall on this stadium and they absolutely have to go forward without any of the guarantees they wish they had.

I won't argue with your points, but I will remind everyone this undertaking will not begin until soccer/track, baseball and the new weight room are completed.

    Reality check.

We're two years away from even going to the board to get approval to do something like this.
