Some super ideas TripleThreat and Hammer, good to hear from you again. Hammer I met you once tearing down some shelving in phase one the wet area, tralining room, equipment room etc. Trip met you at LeTriomphe, that I was told was a very good meeting, very productive!!!
LiRobi, don't be a stranger my next door boxseat bud!
I sure hope that All THREE of you are buying Football Season Tickets! Hammer is big enough if he has any eligibility left he could join the squad as a lineman!!

Lil Robi, computers are working very good, thanks again so much. Hey maybe this Summer you and your family could come over and I could burn some meat. Maybe get a few of the other box seat crew to come also!

As far as getting people in the door for football games, I know that the 2 to 3 thousand people that miss games because of no alcohol sales hurts.
Many people refuse to leave the parking lot and tailgate the whole game. I know for a fact that attendance would increase with alcohol sales at the football games. People want to go to UL games now, let's keep them happy.
I did not go either and am curious to know what all was talked about. Gerald and Coach Lee both said that remodeling the locker rooms, increasing season ticket sales(ideas), recruiting monies, Cajun Clasic Tournament, etc.
Gerald did say that the indoor practice facility will again have the Basketball addition done in November also!!!

I was one of about 30 people who attended the subject meeting. It was hosted by Gerald Hebert and the men's basketball coaching staff. Although a lot of good discussion occurred, the gist of it is that the basketball program has a list of needs which need to be addressed if we are to move our program towards the next level. This list was passed out to the crowd. Also passed out was a document which we were asked to complete indicating which area of need you can help with. You were also given envelopes if you wanted to think about the issue and mail your response in. Obviously much of this is simply money related, but by no means does it mean you can't help if you can't donate. One of the ways you can help is to contact people you know who may be able to offer a service. I know someone who may be able to help with video needs and have already spoken to the gentlemen and he indicated interest. If anyone wants a copy of the list and other paperwork indicating how you can help, give me a call and I can fax it to you. Call 337-989-3160 during business hours if you are interested. A few of the regular posters here were also present. They include Turbine, Kawlija, and CajunFun. If you guys want to elaborate on what occurred last night, feel free to do so. A couple of other points; we will have a more legitimate season ticket drive this year. Schedule will be finalized in mid to late June. Following that, we will consider how to put the drive together. Consideration will be given to football's drive when those plans are organized. Coach Lee is also planning to speak to incoming freshman at orientation. In the past, only football coaches spoke here. I don't know what level our basketball program can achieve. I do know the folks running it have set their goals higher than many believe they can achieve. As long as they believe it, we have a chance to get there.

I'm not sure where I heard this but, the privately run beer concession at the baseball field is a possibility at the Swamp. I think that this concept was discussed for this year; possibility at the Le Triumphe meeting. This was during a private conversation, not during the presentation.

The Ragin' Cajun basketball team is moving from the still USL locker rooms into the much larger but also outdated IceSkater locker rooms.
