Just after one o'clock Sunday morning, a major fire riped through Landry's Seafood and Steakhouse in Jeanerette.

The restaurant suffered major damage in the kitchen area, and severe water and smoke damage throughout the rest of the building. Nobody was inside at the time of the fire. KATC'S Chris Welty was in Jeanerette and will give us a tour of the damage and also answer when the restaurant hopes to be open again for business. Look for his reports tonight at 5:30 and 10.
