UL baseball team has chance to win Sun Belt title
Sunday's UL baseball win put the Cajuns one step closer to their second Sun Belt regular-season title.
But UL still has work to do in the final weekend of the regular season.
The Cajuns are 15-6 in league play and are two games ahead of New Mexico State (13-8). South Alabama has completed Sun Belt play at 15-9. UL can finish no worse than 15-9 even with three losses at Western Kentucky this weekend in the regular-season finales, and the Cajuns hold the tiebreaker advantage over USA and NMSU.
Any combination of two Cajun wins or Aggie losses in the final weekend would give UL the outright title, its first since 1997 and only the second since UL joined the league in 1991.
