What is the best game ever played at Cajun Field

_ I know this thread was all about reminiscing... but the best game every played at Cajun Field needs to be in our immediate future... a bunch of times over. I hope everyone agrees... we haven't had enough "best games ever played at Cajun Field". _

I agree, but there have been some very enjoyable ones over the years. Another one that comes to mind is the game vs. Colorado State when Brian Mitchell passed for over 200 yards and ran for over 200 yards. I think that was the first time a QB had done that in NCAA history. Great game!

Many a great game involved one Brian Mitchell. Great athlete, great student, great person. I'm sure he doesn't mind... but every great UL football prospect should be told the Brian Mitchell story. If that doesn't make them see themselves in a Ragin Cajuns jersey... nothing will.

Couldn't agree with ya more. I mean I jokingly came up with 5 ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE games in seconds. I would struggle to come up with 5 great games during the same time span.

_ It was the aTm game for me. I brought some A&M fans I worked with and there just wasn't ever an atmosphere at Cajun Field like the one at the end of that game. The funny thing is... and I am not one to be easily impressed by momentary events... I seriously thought there was no way we weren't going to launch football full throttle and throw everything we had into it. Our top dog felt like it was a pinnacle and just decided to keep it that way.

Great post and fully agree, been to many games both Louisiana and SEC games in Mississippi and Kentucky, nothing compared to that aTm game. Yet.

The best games are the ones that mean something. Like beating A&M, a top 20 team at the time. Coming within seconds of beating OK State, a team with Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders and Hart Lee Dykes. We haven't seen the best games ever at Cajun field, because they are all coming......in bunches!
