Green was in Knoxville in 2003, before he transferred to UL.
The Royals drafted Green in the 7th round of last year's draft out of the University of Louisiana where he was 6–2 and led the Sun Belt Conference with a 2.12 ERA.
He pitched with short–season Idaho Falls last year and went 3–2 with a 5.23 ERA in 13 games including nine starts.
Lately April 28th. Bees' starter Patrick Green got off to a great as he retired the first nine men he faced in the game. Meanwhile, the Bees missed some early chances against LumberKings starter Kyle Rogers, leaving six men on base through the first three innings. In the top of the fourth, Green walked Cameron Coughlan to leadoff the inning and Tug Hulett followed with a base hit to right to advance Coughlan to third.
