LOUISIANA La. - The 13th-ranked Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns softball team will find out its NCAA Regionals destination on Sunday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m. (CDT), with the team gathering at Pete's on Johnston Street.
The public is invited to attend and mingle with the Ragin' Cajuns players and coaching staff. The team is scheduled to arrive at Pete's at 6 p.m.
The field of 64 teams for the 2005 NCAA Division I Softball Championship will be announced live between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday on ESPNews, which is on DirecTV channel 207 and Dish Network channel 142. The regional pairings and sites will be announced. In addition, the ESPNews audio signal is available on the ESPNews channel on XM Radio and SIRIUS Radio.
The Ragin' Cajuns are seeking their seventh straight NCAA Regionals bid since 1999, fifth straight under co-head coaches Stefni and Michael Lotief and 15th in the last 16 seasons. Louisiana-Lafayette finished the 2005 regular season with a 47-8 overall record and a 19-1 Sun Belt Conference record which clinched the program's fifth straight SBC regular season title.
