Here, here! End of story.
Moving on.....
I like it actually... We have tried the big time program assistant and it didnt work... Perhaps those guys are too used to the posh surroundings and the private jets to hop on to go see the recruits... Someone like Conque would see this as a step UP (wow... what a concept)... might view it as a stepping stone ...........cool... get me a couple of bowl trips along your way and we can do it again.... man I want someone excited about coming here.....works for me!!!!!!!!!
I have always enjoyed all of the Vermillion articles, it helps me keep up with what's really going on on campus even though I am 3 hours away. So far this year when I click on the link to the Vermillion on the UL site it takes me to one of the departments site. Is this going to be corrected, or has the Vermillion web site been moved?
I will still go this weekend. But am still disappointed. It was a nice apology. And it does show leadership. But there is a severe lack of decision making in the air.
There was quite an outrage when this happened today. And rightly so. When this group first started why didn't anyone think "Hey, this doesn't feel right?" We obviously felt that it was wrong, why didn't they? A true leader would have talked to Morgan and shut it down the day it started.
I don't care too much for apologies. They're just words. Show me a win on Saturday.
Thank you! Things were blown way out of proportion and taken out of context. And I promise you the players are hurting much more than anyone who posts on this board. Please give the players your respect and OUR university will pull through this rough patch.
Get excited we have another home game this weekend!
Geaux Cajuns!
Well, the key is this, I still don't agree, but I understand why it was there. They loved the spoiler/underdog role. From what I've gathered, it was a way to gain strength from what people said about the school and our guys on the road, and I can understand why. When things are backed up against you, you look for something to rally behind, and from what it sounds like, they rallied behind the fact that they were the underdogs and considered "bad" by the other teams and their fans. I can understand that only because I've been through something similar with my band. My band has been the outcast of a music scene for years, we were _____ on, told we sucked, and banned from places, we even broke up at one point it was so bad. Now 6 years of a band being together, we have gained a following, are about to release our first full length CD (that we did COMPLETELY DIY) and we use the pirate logo as our symbol and call ourselves "The Scourge of the Scene". I compare the 2 situations because I understand that when you hit bottom, the way you come out is pulling into that underdog role, hopefully.
Hopefully, the team uses this opportunity rally around the idea that their underdogs and come out fighting.
