Remember what university you're dealing with and it all makes sense.

Turbine - would you have a picture of the upper deck crowd. It seamed to be pretty full? I did not get a chance to go and walk around the stadium to see how full it really was.

I dont have a picture of the upper deck, but I can tell you there was not empty spots like they were in the A&M game.... Completely filled for the most part.

Maybe now Desormeaux will HAVE to give Wallace the ball.

I will be coming back into town to see the Troy game. Please! Geaux Cajuns! _
The amazing thing to me is why our coaching staff can't motivate our players. I said last week that McNeese would come to play and we would just "be there". If I can see that, how in the heck can our staff not see the pitiful attitude. Maybe it's because they don't have much of an attitude. Fire one in the middle of the season and light a fire under them.

I agree, at least try something different. Is Bustle afraid he's going to hurt Desormeaux's feelings? Who's the coach??

UL Football Rumor: Hundley Quits Team

Heard from a reliable source that Hundley quit the team this morning. I wasn't going to say anything, but I have seen it on here. I realize that sources can always be questionable, but I think mine is good.

I have put a big rumor title on the thread so people wouldn't jump all over this. Nothing is confirmed for sure just heresay at this point.

I think the Cajuns realize that sporadic wins like A&M or the Houston win last year are nothing to hang your hat on, particularly if the season ends in dissapointment.

NEVER EVER EVER confuse disappointment regarding the current state of affairs with a lack of resolve. Cajuns just are not built that way. Success will come. It may not be today, or next week, or next year, but it will come. When it does, I expect you will still have a tarp covering half of your stadium. _
Sorry to tell you I was talking about UL. At one time we were the Bulldogs. What I am saying is, we used to have rivalries, Tech/N'western/McNeese etc. then we thought we should be division I. Well how long are we going to play charades before we realize that with LSU 60 miles down the road we can't compete talent wise and never will. At least Tech and McNeese are far enough away form Tigerland to entice kids to come and play.

We act like football is a joke so what are recruits to think. If anyone thinks we have a lot of talent, they are sadly mistaken. Fenroy will play in the NFL and there may be another couple who will get a shot but we should be trying to compete with the McNeeses of the world instead of trying to be and claiming to be something we're not.

I've heard the same already today. Wouldn't suprise me actually with the coaching staff's decision to stick with Desmo at QB Saturday night.

No offense, but Des Mo is not a good QB. He is a great athlete who should be on the field because of his heart, leadership and athleticism, but not at the QB position. _
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I said that before the season started and heard it from all sides. He is a marvelous athlete but will not get the job done at QB.

I totally disagree with you. Tech and McNeese being farther away from BR have NO bearing on their recruiting. They are NOT competing for the same recruits as LSU any more than we are. The problem is not that we cannot compete at the D-1A level. I think we can. The problem is the way this school approaches most things in the athletic dept.: in a cheap, no-vision way. Therefore it doesn't matter if we drop to D-1AA, we'll just sink lower and not really compete at that level either. We need to get an administration that understands how sports can help sell the university in a broader way. Unfortunately, I think the search process that Sally "Flagship" Clausen has instituted to find our next president is designed to put us back "in our place". Instead of searching for a highly qualified, forward-thinking person to lead this university, I'm afraid we'll be saddled with a bean-counter who will have no vision. I sincerely hope I'm wrong. This is not a good week for optimism about our university. If you want to go back to the Gulf States Conference days (I remember them), by all means go for it. But I'm not going on that boat ride.
