Then why recruit him if you have no intentions of using him?
He should have been in there at the end of the 3rd quarter.
No offense, but Des Mo is not a good QB. He is a great athlete who should be on the field because of his heart, leadership and athleticism, but not at the QB position.
The NCAA will NEVER force anyone to move down. They don't have the Balls.
And McNeese moved DOWN to I-AA from I-A in 1982 even though we were fully qualified to stay, so there goes that theory. Some Gateway schools also did the same around the same time.
We appeared in 3 Indy bowls between 1976 and 1980.
Cajuns need more speed! That showed BIG TIME last night. McNeese has plenty of it. Bustle should not worry about the size quite so much and concentrate on speed, and developing strenth in the weight room during the RS year.
You can't develop speed, you either have it or you don't. But players can be made stronger.
I agree this loss lies squarely on the team AND the coaches. I feel as though we have to take some shots down field to keep defenses honest. However, I also feel we need to run the ball more out of the I formation instead of the shotgun. The success of the offense lies with the offensive line and on Saturday night the offensive line looked flat out beat. the defense is just flaout poor. We really need to reevaluate the guys we have out on the field because they like size, speed, and strength.
We are now trying to compare V.T. to U.L........G's come on guys let's get real about the type of football program we have here at the university. We are not on the same level as the major programs and to be honest we are not on the same level as mid-major program.
We are in the weakest conference in 1-A football with with teams who have not been in division 1 as long as we have(MTSU,NTU) but we continue to struggle to compete with these programs. Some fans have to take a honest look at the type of program we have here and just accept it for what it is. McNeese has done it and they can be proud of the product they have presented to their fans as it stands now UL is know as having the 4th best football program in Louisiana....1.) LSU 2.) La-Tech 3.) McNeese 4.) UL.....Let's get real!
hE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SAT DOWN THAT GAME. TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY. WHO KNOWS IF HUNDLEY/MOREL IS BETTER BUT YOU CAN NOT IGNORE THE OBVIOUS. WHEN A PERSON IS REACTING LIKE THEY ARE IN CRISIS YOU DON NOT LEAVE FALTER UNTIL THE GAME IS LOST.
McNeese's receivers are way better than UL's; their linemen are more physical and their linebackers are more athletic and faster...that's a factThere is no way in the world that McNeese somehow recruited a blevy of talent better than UL. That means that what McNeese opened up on the Cajuns Saturday was a supersized can of attitude.
Thanks for that information. I feared it was a broken ankle judging by the way he came off the field. If he isn't ready to go - and I'm assuming he won't be - then it'll be time for Deon Wallace to step up to the plate. He's got the talent to do it, here's hoping he comes through.
I would put McNeese ahead of Tech at this point.
