Moving down is not an option. NO ONE has ever done it and NO ONE will ever do it unless forced by the NCAA. As seen tonight, UL needs to recruit better.
I agree the Cajuns should schedule MSU or Southern if we need a D1AA filler.

We won't drop down to 1-AA. Not when we get paid half a million to play a BCS school, sometimes twice a season. Rent-a-win...
You think the Athletic Department is going to give that up? Even if it means getting our asses handed to us.
I think we should schedule as many state schools as possible every year! (not just as gap fillers) The crowd tonight was wonderful! Totally incredible...Does anyone know what the numbers for attendance was? Congrats to the Cowboys and their fans...made for a wondeful night of football! Great for the fans and for the city!
...and I STILL believe that the Cajuns will have a good season! As justified by all of the mistakes by the Cajuns...the pressure to win tonight, in front of such a large crowd (in terms of playing at the swamp...) must have been overwhelming for the players. Don't get to down boys...it WILL get better!
Man, this loss truly hurts inside my stomach. I have been backing the UL program for my whole sports loving life. This kind of a loss just makes all my arguments and defense in our behalf sound like crap. I just hope UL does not take a major turn for the worse and win only two or three games this year. At this rate will we win a game at all?.....don't think so. I will never stop loving UL and supporting them I just want to cry out loud. THIS HURTS!!!!!!!!!
Showdog,
When you say "we," I assume you are refering to La. Tech. Whether LTU drops its classification is of no consequence to me.
I think the Cajuns realize that sporadic wins like A&M or the Houston win last year are nothing to hang your hat on, particularly if the season ends in dissapointment.
NEVER EVER EVER confuse disappointment regarding the current state of affairs with a lack of resolve. Cajuns just are not built that way. Success will come. It may not be today, or next week, or next year, but it will come. When it does, I expect you will still have a tarp covering half of your stadium.
It was a great night for watching a football game. It was a pretty good-sized crtowd - interested in knowing what the attendance turns out to be.
The thing I wished not to happen - either team suffering injuries that might hamper them in their respective conferences - apparently happened to key players on both squads. I hope those players come back healthy and quickly.
Good luck in your remaining games.
Agreed!
The fact that people are on this thread & at this website shows that we still believe.
I had us picked as a 2-1 start and can't believe the past couple of unpredictable weeks. Just like last year's 3-2 start and then taking a nose dive. Hell, we all think that Troy will roll next week........just watch the Cajuns pull out a "W". You never know....
I've gotten used to this being a Saints fan and being around for the Baldwin era. As bad as it is, we've got 9 games left. Some way, some how, something may click and we'll go on a little winning streak somewhere in there. It's happened before with Bustle, I'm really hoping for everybody's sake it can happen again.
