I don't recall a Bobcat penalty in the 2nd half, other than the unsportsmanlike call right at the end of the game.

Having said all of that, we HAVE to start winning these types of games. We've had opportunities to score multiple times the past 2 weeks and we are having problems finishing a number of drives. That is a concern. And getting the defense off the field on 3rd down is a big concern. If we fix those two issues, we finish with a great year.
Ohio was marginally better than us and did play well, especially in the 2nd half. I think alot of fans are upset, myself included, because we go into halftime with a 20-10 lead and we are in a position to come away with a big win if we continue to take care of business. However, we give up 21 points in the 2nd half and only score 3 points. Penalties killed us. Our defense again gave up too many 3rd down plays. I thought we missed out on throwing passes in the flats to our running backs. Also, we need to throw some passes to Jason Cherry while he is in stride because he has the potential to take it to the endzone with his speed.

My big concern is taking advantage of opportunities. You can't keep letting great opportunities to make an impression and create momentum slip through your fingers.

I'm going to say a little prayer that our fan base does not turn into the instant gratification gang that is plaguing every other facet of life in America. Succeeding also depends on resiliant fans.

When someone on here makes the comment that "it's the same thing every year". I have to agree... there is always someone who has to make that comment every year. When they change that tune without it requiring someone else to do something to please them, I have a feeling they will start liking the music a little more.

Geaux Cajuns (and I mean fans)!!!!
I totally agree with you. It was VERY disappointing to see the good turn-out last night evaporating as the second half went along. This despite a very close, exciting game against two evenly-matched teams with the outcome in doubt until the last 37 seconds. "Fans" were leaving in large numbers all throughout the fourth quarter, even during our final drive when we were marching down the field. I don't get it. Why spend the time, money and effort to go to the game only to leave with the game on the line in the second half? Are the parties really that good? Do you really have to "beat the crowd" out of the parking lot? I am really depressed this morning. It is in part due to the loss, but it is mostly due to the thought that maybe all those naysayers are right: we have major-league ambitions with a minor-league fanbase. Rant off!

It appeared to be the jumbotron feed. The little commercials between plays were a little aggravating. Many times I wanted to see formations as we came to the line. On the plus side, the stream was pretty good (I did lose it at 7-6 like other posters), and the audio feed from the radio network helped to fill in the video blanks. Definitely worth $10 per month, especially given that you will get the whole football season for $20-$30.

By the way the game last night was free. One of the guys on our board posted that the games would be shown for free until Oct. 1. I was skeptical but I tried the link and I was able to watch the whole game online. It was the scoreboard video stream.

Yall want to know the difference in the game, how about field position, we ALWAYS started on our own 20, and they started on the 40+. THE ONE TIME WE DIDN'T SKY KICK, they started at their own 15...wow, coincidence, I dont think so! Jeeze, If I see one more sky kick I'm gonna have an F'in seizure!!!!

I dont even want to go into the rest of the game, still to mad, but I had to get that off my chest.

It is disappointing to see fans leaving like they did last night. My fear is that many fans have seen the Cajuns in situations like this before and they knew the writing was on the wall.

Yes, no sky kicks please in the next game. Just kick it long to No. 7 and you'll be okay.

Great, that's the attitude we want. Don't give an "oops" and kick it to him. He can't do anything with it.
