I like that place where her leg turns into her gluteus maximus... and I'm not really that concerned over the size of her warts... if you know what I mean. Geaux Cajuns! (I tossed that in for forum relevance)

It is my understanding that they were flat our p*ssed that they let that game slip away. Thats what I heard from the friend of a friend, whose aunt is Rickey Bustles wifes cousins sister in law by way of a one night stand in Euataw, AL

Well, Bubba actually said "hey man, em cocks batter stap it up cum SEC play er weer gonna be inna worl da hurt".>>>>>>>>

I hear that type of chatter up here every day!

If MD keeps this up he might average 100 yards per game for his career. Does anyone know what Brian Mitchell averaged?

This article was in today's Athens Messenger newspaper. Does anyone have a link to the Ohio message board?

Cajun ground game will have Bobcats changing gears
The Bobcats will have to change gears this week when they travel to Louisiana-Lafayette for their first road game of the season.

And no, that’s not because they’ll be playing at Cajun Field — affectionately known locally as “The Swamp.”

The Bobcats (1-0) can expect the competition level, and the opponent’s philosophy, to be drastically different when they face the Ragin’ Cajuns (0-1) beginning at 7 p.m. UL played a closer-than-expected opener at South Carolina last weekend, and will be primed to deliver a feel-good outcome to crowd in its home opener.

The Cajuns fell behind 14-0 at the Southeastern Conference opponent, rallied to tie it 14-14 all, but then fell short in the second half. UL did have the ball inside the USC twice in the fourth quarter, but failed to punch it in. The Cajuns had one potential momentum-shifting scored called back on a penalty.

It was a moral victory for a team that had been blasted in its last two season openers against BCS conference foes.

“I think we’ll face a team that’s energized, ready to go,” Ohio head coach Frank Solich said. “We will have some challenges to face, but we know that and we’ll move forward with that.”

The Ragin’ Cajuns have reason to feel good. UL went 6-5 in 2005 and 6-6 last season, but have several key components to help make up what should again be one of the best running attacks in the country. Louisiana-Lafayette has averaged 220 yards per game on the ground the last two seasons, was seventh in the nation in rushing in ‘05, and 11th in the country last season.

Junior tailback Tyrell Fenroy is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and, with 2,338 career yards, is less than 1,000 yards from the Cajuns’ all-time rushing total. Not big (5-10, 180 pounds), Fenroy is spelled by lightning-quick sophomore Deon Wallace (5-9, 186).

The ground attack doesn’t end there. Three starters return for UL on the offensive line, and junior quarterback Mike Desormeaux gives the Cajuns another backfield weapon. Desormeaux notched 116 yards on the ground last week against the Gamecocks — his second career 100-yard game — as UL piled up 252 rushing yards and a 5.4 average on 47 carries against an SEC opponent.

The Cajuns will try to dictate tempo with the ground game, implemented through a variety of option looks executed from a spread, no-huddle approach. Calling plays at the line of scrimmage, UL will test the Ohio defense’s discipline on every snap and force the ‘Cats to play assignment football.

It’s a big difference from the look Ohio got from Gardner-Webb last week — in terms of rushes versus passes — but consistent to the type of offense the Bobcats have seen in the last two seasons with games against Illinois and twice against MAC East rival Bowling Green. Even the Runnin’ Bulldogs showed similar looks to what the ‘Cats may see Saturday night.

“But these guys will do it every play, and they’ll do it better,” Ohio defensive end Jameson Hartke said. “We have to play our assignment every single play in order to stop them.

“I think we’ve done this a lot though,” he added. “All the teams in the MAC do it, so I think we’re ready to take this on.”

Desormeaux, who doubled as a special teams and defensive player last year at UL, has the speed to turn any mistake into a potential score. His slippery nature also reminded Hartke of Julian Edelman, the Kent State quarterback the Bobcats had trouble getting a handle on last season.

“We have to stay in our rush lanes, we can’t let this guy run around,” he said. “It’s not all about running around the edge, it’s more about being kind of a contain rusher and making sure he doesn’t make any big plays with his feet.”

The Cajuns have racked up better than 250 yards on the ground in three of their last four games going back to last season. The Ohio defense aims to control the ground game first and foremost every week, and if they can do that Saturday the ‘Cats will have an excellent chance to stymie UL. Desormeaux isn’t an accomplished passer — last week he completed 12-of-19 passes but for only 63 yards.

The key, Ohio outside linebacker Jordan Meyers said, is repetition and discipline.

“Assignment football is just getting in the study room and getting in the video room, watching them and watching your keys,” Meyers said. “I wouldn’t say it was tougher, it’s just more practicing reps and watching a lot of film.

“I got a whole different scheme of things that I have to look at, different keys and different guys I have to read,” he added. “It’s a lot of different guys I have to be watching.”

Few coaching staffs have a collected vault of knowledge about the option larger than Solich’s group at Ohio. It will be tapped into this week.

“They threw 19 passes, I’m familiar with that kind of offensive attack,” Solich deadpanned. “It’s obvious we have to stop the ground game. If we let them get that going at a high pace, then we’re going to have problems because they’re going to control the ball. It really limits you in terms of mistakes that can make, you just don’t have that much clock time to recover.”

Besides the ground game, Ohio will also have to adapt to the elements and the crowd. Warm temperatures and high humidity will be sure to greet the ‘Cats, as well as an expected loud crowd at Cajun Field — which holds 31,000.

“I’ve been to Lafayette. It’s wild down there. The Ragin’ Cajuns are wild,” Meyers said. “It will be hot and humid, but I think we’ll be ready for that. We’re in good shape.”

I would not be surprised to see us "flip the script" and get 120 rush yards and 250 pass yards.

If we get 120 rushing; we'll lose by two TD's.

Now the 250 passing to go with 250 rushing.... THAT I can live with.

Hello, Pat Moorer is now the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Varsity Sports, including football. Mark Smith is the Director of Football Strength and Conditioning. There are some funny stories about Moorer, who is apparently an intimidating character.

FYI, I put a blog entry about the ULL game at my site. You might find some of it interesting.

    Good luck against Ohio.

PS: I spent about a year in P'cola when I was at AOCS at the NAS. Love that place.

As we called him..."Pat Jam...Look out!" Mr. Moore was a freak of nature...just imagine...as a running back (TB & FB) I went up against this guy everyday for three years in practice at Escambia.

  12. UL Football Football: Mid-Week Practice Report

The Cajuns went to work on Sunday night at Cajun Field. The team practiced for nine periods in shorts, first working on game corrections, then on special teams and finally three periods of scout team drills.

The team worked on Tuesday in full pads for 12 periods.

Wednesday’s practice was in the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility, covering 13 periods.

The team will practice on Thursday and walk-through at Cajun Field on Friday afternoon.
