    DC,
Are there any architectural renderings or conceptual plans yet? It would really be helpful for us "common fans" to be able to visualize it if we could see how it is envisioned by the "powers-that-be"! lol (I'm sure they are probably not at that stage yet. Just thought it would be nice to see something whenever they can show us.)

    Thanks for sharing!

Gerald presented a power-point presentation to a group of a few hundred movers and shakers from around the Acadiana area. One Canopy is already done, it is on the 1st base cooking area. The next one is to be built on the 3rd base side in the box seat area. The other ones are being built in Our Lady of Lourdes Park starting in a few weeks! These canopies have been donated by Ideal Steel!!!

About the ideas about cajun field.. skyboxes are a great idea if companies are going to buy/rent them.. additional seating is not a good idea.. there is no point in adding seats until they can be filled. I see the progressive approach, but we are averaging about 13k empty seats per game. Thats a lot of butts. A way to fill them (that will never happen) is to let alcohol in. Most D-1 schools allow alcohol at sporting events. I'm not a big drinker, but I would pay for a drink or two at a game.. thats about 4 bucks a beer, 2 or so beers per person, 8 dollars x say the 5000 or so that drink.. thats 40k per game in the schools coffers..

I say if they sell beer at Cajun games I think they should stop sales at the end of halftime.
