Senior Sadie Willis and junior Lillian Webb of Bolton, runners-up at regionals the last two years, won the girls doubles championship, and Bolton won the girls' team title at Region I-4A tennis tournament Tuesday at the Alexandria Aquatic and Racquet Club.

Willis and Webb, the top-seeded team, defeated second-seeded Julie Rupert and Katie Fontenot of Eunice in the girls' final, 6-3, 6-3. Bolton's girls racked up 13 points for the team title.

Willis and Webb said they played their best this season at the regional, taking advantage of Willis' consistent ground strokes and Webb's volleying.

"We try to be as laid-back as we can," said Willis, headed to UL-Lafayette next fall. "We also like to pump ourselves up, even if it's a fake compliment."
