I am not a fan of Tim Floyd

_ J-Town, the reality of the situation is that Floyd was N-E-V-E-R interested in the job. He played the money people, and a lot of fans, like a fiddle. He was pimping one of his buddies for the job and made us believe he was interested in order to get closer to the situation.

My guess is he's doing the same thing at UH and UTEP right now. _

I think Floyd will be back with the Hornets next year. I think Shinn will just retain Bower and Floyd because he has them on cheap contracts already. The team will play next year (2010/2011), then in the off season Shinn will fire Bower. The league will be locked out in Fall 2011 and not having a GM and a coach under contract being paid while the team is not playing would save some significant money. Once it looks like the lockout is almost over, the team will hire a GM, the GM will hire a coach and they will go from there.

By the end of the 2010/2011 NBA season Floyd will be done with the NCAA and he will probably be back coaching in college somewhere after that.

In the Houston Chronicle article stating that Marlin will be our coach, it was written that someone close to the UTEP situation has said it is a done deal for Floyd to be the Miners coach. That would make sense as he started his career as an assistant there under Don Haskins.

These are all the players that he recruited to the program and have entered the pro ranks in some form or fashion under his guidance at the school.

Also, for those interested: Murray State coach Billy Kennedy receives contract extension through 2014, according to FOXSports.com. I was told he did not interview at UL but did recently at Iowa.
