So, If we get Floyd we make it to the big Dance in two years and he goes, or if not we don't break .500.

All the guys being considered with the exception of Pierre have been Successful Division I head coaches. Some of them were in the tournament this year. Many of them have won at least 20 games for the last 3 or 4 years.

Floyd would be a hell of a hire, but you have to remember that he also has to want to come here. I personally agree with the OP and he is just screwing with us.

I really believe that Floyd, Marlin, Kaspar, Kennedy, Butch, or Gottfried could be successful here.

You have to remember that every coach with the exception of Robert Lee has been a 20 game winner here and went on to be a Division I head coach at another university.

Just hang tight. I believe if one of these guys are selected the Cajuns will be back sooner than you think. _
Lee was 20 game winner when he was along for the ride in his first year and the players just willed their way to a top 20 caiber team by the end of the year, despite Lee.

I wonder if KPEL realizes that Scott Prather is costing them money and listeners.. I wonder if they are planning on grooming this guy to take Jay's job..

I have to turn off the radio everytime this guy has the mic to himself. Just awful, terrible radio.

Floyd flamed as the Hornets head coach yet is somehow brought back as assistant. I view him along the lines of a Kelvin Sampson. He left two schools on the NCAA radar (e.g. OU and Indiana). It appears Floyd is "playing" ULL and may end up in Houston. I'd like to see Pierre come to Lafayette.

What schools did he leave on the radar? Obviously, USC has some questions to answer but where else did he go where that school was worse off than before he arrived? His collegiate record is 327-181 and that's with programs that didn't exactly have national basketball pedigree's. Kelvin Sampson is responsible for pretty major recruiting violations at OU and Indiana, not Floyd. I dont' think you can compare the two. BTW, Rick Petino had a less than stellar pro coaching career but I'd say he's done pretty well for himself in college.

Floyd didn't exactly flame as the Hornets coach. He didn't get along with one of the owners and was sent packing after going 41-41 and making the playoffs. He is the one who brought on Bower, so Bower brought him on to help coach this year.

Floyd was thrown under the bus by Baron Davis. Davis was foolishly given a max contract and was calling the shots for the organization. We now know Davis is what is wrong with the NBA.

IT'S OK IF SOME PEOPLE DONT WANT TIM FLOYD. IT'S OK. IT'S YOUR OPINION. I KNOW HIM AND HE'S A GOOD GUY AS WELL AS A HECK OF A BASKETBALL COACH. HE WILL DO WELL AT LAFAYETTE. SO WILL THE WHOLE LIST IF THE LIST IS FOR REAL. GIVE THE PROCESS TIME. JMO.
