All summer long, RaginCajuns.com is highlighting former Ragin' Cajuns baseball players who are continuing their professional careers at the minor and major league level.
In this week's installment, the Ragin' Cajuns list of former players in profressional baseball has grown by two with the addition of T.J. Geith (Gulf Coast Rays) and Alex Fuselier (State College Spikes). UL now has 10 former players competing in profressional baseball.
This week's update also highlights Danny Farquhar (2006-08) who has posted three wins and seven saves in relief for Toronto's Triple-A affiliate Las Vegas 51s.Farquhar has given up just one hit in his last 10 innings pitched and has not surrendered a run since early May.
Ragin' Cajuns Major League Update #2: Friday, June 17
JONATHAN LUCROY - C
(Milwaukee Brewers)
Jonathan Lucroy is continuing a solid sophomore campaign with the Brewers. After hitting over .300 through the first part of June, the Eustis, Fla., native fell into a slump. However, the UL grad has since bounced back with a three-game hitting streak. In his last two games against the Chicago Cubs, Lucroy knocked in four runners to help the Brewers remain a game up on the St. Louis Cardinals in the N.L. Central. In 52 games, Lucroy is hitting .274 with six homers and 31 RBIs.

SCOTT DOHMANN - RHP
(Sultanes de Monterrey)
Scott Dohmann finds himself with a new team in the Mexican League after spending the first third of the year with the Tigres de Quintana Roo. With the Tigres, Dohmann held a 5.14 ERA in 22 games. The reliever gave up 13 runs on 23 hits in 21 innings tossed. He fanned 19 opposing batters and gave up nine walks to hold a 1-1 for the Tigres. Dohmann has yet to make an appearance for the Sultanes. Dohman has not made an appearance with the Sultanes since arriving in late May. Dohmann was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the sixth round of the 2000 MLB Draft. He made his major league debut on May 15, 2004. He pitched in 41 games for the Rockies in 2004, 32 in 2005 and 27 in 2006. He pitched in 31 games with the Rays in 2007, finishing 3-0 with a 3.31 ERA and in 2008 was 2-0 with a 6.14 E.R.A. in 12 games.

DANNY FARQUHAR - RHP
(Las Vegas 51s - Triple-A Affiliate for Toronto Blue Jays)
Danny Farquhar has been solid in relief for the 51s since rejoining the Blue Jays organization on April 18. In 21 appearances, the right-hander has mowed down 30 batters and given up just nine earned runs in 30.1 innings. Opponents are hitting .256 against the UL grad, while he has notched seven saves. He holds a 2.67 ERA, which ranks third amongst Pacific Coast League closers with seven saves or more. Farquhar has given up just one hit in his last 10 innings pitched and has not surrendered a run since early May.

(Rochester Red Wings - Triple-A Affiliate for Minnesota Twins)
After a slow May, Chase Lambin has raised his averaged by 10 points. The Houston native has 44 hits and 14 extra base hits on the season. Against Toledo on June 11, Lambin was 2-for-4 with three runs a home run, a double and two RBIs.

CHAD BECK - RHP
(New Hampshire Fisher Cats - Double-A Affiliate for Toronto Blue Jays)
Chad Beck has spent most of the season in Double-A New Hampshire after starting the year in Single-A Dunedin. Beck boasts a 4.08 ERA and a 5-1 record in 10 starts for the first place Fisher Cats. The right-hander has fanned 52 batters, walking just 15 and giving up 31 runs in 69.1 innings pitched. Beck has been utilized in the bullpen during his last two appearances on June 10 and 12. He pitched an inning and a third in two games against Richmond, holding the Flying Squirrels hitless during that time.

Zach Osborne continues to play well with the Texas Rangers Advanced-A affiliate Myrtle Beach. In his last two outings for the Pelicans, Osborne has held opponents scoreless and given up just two hits. The right-hander fanned six Kinston Indians batters in his June 12 appearance. On the season, Osborne is 1-2 with a 4.45 ERA. He has retired 39 opponents by strikeout, giving up just one home run on the season.

GREG WILBORN - LHP
(Rancho Cucamonga Quakes - Advanced-A Affiliate for Los Angeles Dodgers)
After an injury that kept him out for most of May, Greg Wilborn is on the mend with Rancho Cucamonga. The left-hander picked up his second win of the year on June 14 against Inland Empire, giving up just two runs on three hits in six innings pitched. This season, Wilborn holds a 2-3 record with 29 earned runs allowed in 42 innings tossed.

Dayton Marze continues to trim up his ERA, slicing it to a 3.68 for Single-A Lansing. In his last four outings, Marze has given up just one run in nine innings pitched. On the season, the right-hander holds a 3-2 record with two saves. Opponents are hitting .263 against Marze, while 42 have struckout.

ALEX FUSELIER - OF
(State College Spikes - Short-A Affiliate for Pittsburgh Pirates)
Alex Fuselier just signed a professional contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 16. He is expected to join the State College Spikes in the New York-Penn League after the contract is approved by Minor League Baseball. Fueslier was drafted in the 21st round by the Pirates earlier this month. The Spikes open the season with rival Williamsport on Friday, June 18.
T.J. GEITH - LHP
(Gulf Coast League Rays - Rookie League Affiliate for Tampa Bay Rays)
T.J. Geith will make his debut with the GCL Rays as the team opens up the season against the GCL Red Sox on June 20. Geith was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 39th round of the 2011 MLB Draft
