CARENCRO, La. (AP) - Carencro officials have dedicated a new $4.5 million water treatment plant
Bruce Broussard, the city's water superintendent, said Thursday the new plan will double the city's water capacity.
The Advertiser reports the plant, designed by Fenstermaker and Associates and built by Core Construction Group, is considered a state-of-the-art facility that should meet the city's needs for decades.
Mayor Glenn Brasseaux said the new two-million-gallon-a-day plant was designed to allow that capacity to be easily increased to four million gallons, should the need arise.
