Yep. If the Cajuns don't sweep this weekend they might not be ranked in any poll.

Guys we, all of us, tend to take losses waaaaaay to seriously...

Did anyone really expect us to win tonight??? Especially after the way we beat the ~~~~ out of Lamar in LFT a few weeks ago???

Weekend club will be hard for anyone to beat....ANYONE...

All that matters is tourney time.....

we move on and rip uneauxs lungs out starting Friday night...

I did. We pitched a senior with a 1.5 era against a freshman with an era of almost 10. I knew it would be tough but I would not expect any pitcher in the country to 2 hit the Cajuns.

I always expect us to win. However, in reality, I know that we won't always win, but there is never a situation where we should only get two hits in a game. I know that not everybody in the line-up will hit every night, but we have had too many nights over the last 4 years where a majority of the line-up doesn't hit. For the life of me, I still can't figure out what our supposed "new" hitting philosophy is. One of the things that I see is that we have too many guys striking out looking. Also, I know coach likes to play small ball, which works against most of the competition that we play, but against the big boys, teams that we are saying that we should be able to play against, it doesn't work. A good example is the Wichita State game in Hawaii this year. In that game, he let the guys swing away. I have serious concerns when we are trying to play for one run and we have guys like Hawk trying to lay down a bunt. My opinion is that when you have the big guys up, let them swing away. We have entirely too many innings where we have the bases loaded and come away with only one run. That is not going to cut it against regional competition.

Sorry guys. I just had to let my frustration out. I know it is only one loss and we are in good shape. Thanks for listening.

I completely disagree. You do the small things to win ball games. Every situation is different, and I have all the confidence in the world in Robe and the Cajun coaching staff. If you like gorrilla ball so much, go 50 miles east and watch LSU lose ball games by scores of 14-10 etc. Sure they might be hitting homeruns and pounding balls but they are also losing series in conference. Stats and longballs impress fans... but winning is the only way to advance. Do what it takes to win... and if that means a 3 whole hitter laying down a bunt and winning by 1 run so be it. Im in no way attacking your post, just arguing.

NO DOUBT!!! Expect to win every game....always!!!

But, with the way we brutalized them a few weeks back, Jim Gilligan coaching, the fine tradititon they have in baseball, and the fact that the Cajuns have been playing lights out....well, you knew it was gonna eventually catch up to us...

Lets just say I had a bad feeling...

I think we hammer the ~~~~ outta uneaux...

Remember the last time we played at UNO? I think they had to retire Coles jersey after the whipping he put on em. I think he was something like 10 for 14 with 4 homeruns. Ardoin and Faught had two of the wins in the series Sham had a save and Thad pitched as well.
