RUSTON - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's tennis team moved over .500 for the first time in two years here Saturday, taking a 4-3 dual match win over La. Tech.

The Cajun women (8-7) got a No. 1 singles win from Tammy Day in a 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 win over Monica Kelly at the top of the lineup. Day's sixth win of the year clinched the match.

UL took the doubles point, with Day and Chanell Meijer taking an 8-5 win over Kelly and Avril Martinez in the top match, and then got wins from Meijer at No. 3 and Kimmie Lyles at No. 6 along with the No. 1 win. Meijer downed Holly Ready 6-1, 6-0 and Lyles won her fourth straight match with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Katie Westbrook.

The Cajuns travel to Baton Rouge on Tuesday for a 3 p.m. dual match against LSU.
