I will use Ace Trucking whenever I have the need!
Gerald just phoned me from New Orleans as he is watching history in the making. He is watching the loading of the New Orleans Saints Turf for the Louisiana Indoor Practice Facility! Two fork lifts are currently loading the 9 Ace Trucks, that will once loaded head back to Lafayette and the Louisiana Campus @ Blackham Col. down Hwy 90 to be unloaded by one fork lift. A 2p.m. arrival is still on schedule and may be somewhat earlier. The media have been contacted and will be on site as the trucks roll in. If with your working schedules in mind and being out of school some of you, are able to show up this would be great! Finger foods and Drinks will be on hand!
Gerald is hoping this step will continue to spark the fire of Cajun Fans and those WILL be fans(new season ticket holders)! This is to prove to ALL that the Indoor Facility is happening in Nov 2005(on Schedule) and Many other projects have happened and are going to happen! Giant LOUISIANA is stretching and will next sit up, Louisiana has awakened!!!

MAN, I would love to stop by! What time will the festivities take place til? It will be just about impossible for me to sneak away from work at 2, but I could possibly make a round at 3! Well, if I dont make it, you all have fun and chow some sandies for me!
Gerald will give me Two more calls, one when the Trucks roll out of New Orleans and another as they near Lafayette! 2p.m. is the time they are shooting for as of now. Digital pictures are being taken by the Athletic Department Website personel and will be posted there and possibly on RaginPagin!!
I know it will be hard for most to make it, but the meer fact that it is happening is the important thing!!!
DaddyCajun!!
11:50 a.m. Central time and 9-Ace Transportation Trucks are pulling out of the Saints holding area where the Turf had been stored to transport it to Lafayette, LA home of Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns!! 2p.m.-2:30p.m. still seems to be the E.T.A.!!!

Is two overkill?Originally Posted by DaddyCajun
No Gerald said Two just made things go faster and having just one Fork Lift will just make unloading the Turf take longer, which will give those of us who want to go check it out a little more time!!
Only one fork lift? Do we know any flat bed truckers? A lot of them have fork lifts forked into their bed.
1300 central time Gerald just phoned back, the convoy with a police escort has just gotten back on the road, as one of the trucks air lines had to be repaired!! ETA 3p.m. today May 25th, 2005
One fork lift will just give Fans more time to get to Blackham Col and see some of the Turf off loaded!!
DaddyCajun!!
I'm not calling you a goofball but that is the dumbest reason I can think of for only using only one forklift. "Again" Do we know any flat bed truckers? A lot of them have fork lifts forked into their bed. All the lumber yards have them. Is there no UL alum in the lumber business?Originally Posted by DaddyCajun
Be gentle 1stTake. This is one of the most monumental moments in Cajun atheletic facility upgrades. Let's not make a big deal about one or 2 forklifts. Let's make a big deal on how this will really upgrade facilities and make us only 1 of 3 atheletic organizations in the state to have these type of facilities.
