UL Buys Turf . . . installs turf

Where are they building this indoor practice facility?

The Practice Facility is being built on part of one of the Football practice fields next to the first base side of Lady Cajun park and the Tennis courts! The basketball court will be added also! The field will be a 120 yard practice field and this turf was bought from the Saints for Thirty Thousand Dollars, had originally cost $450,000. It is being picked up next Wednesday by Nine 18 wheelers donated by Ace Trucking and will be stored in a barn at Blackham. TV and paper media will be there to record the event and let the PUBLIC know that "THE PRACTICE FACILITY WILL BE BUILT IN NOVEMBER, AND HERE IS THE TURF". Food and drinks will be served if you can go it is at Blackham Wednesday May 25th around 2:30p.m.

Wednesday May 25th, 2005 @ 2:30(approx) NINE--18 Wheelers will roll into the Blackham Coll. parking area with the New Orleans Saints Indoor Turf!!! Gerald Hebert invites you and your friends to Food and Drinks to celebrate a moment in LOUISIANA Athletic History! KATC, KLFY, Advertiser, Advocate, etc. are all invited along with Ragin Cajun Fans to witness the Mark of a New Era in UL Athletics. This is but a sample of what is to come in Louisiana Athletics. THE GIANT IS AWAKENED AND STRETCHING. This will be a cornerstone persay, of UL Recruiting. Show up if your able as this is a bad time period of the day when most are working!!!

It's great that we are getting the turf and glad to see that someone understands the value of promoting UL athletics. These events, no matter how small, should be promoted to keep folks pumped up. Wish I could be there!

I will be making to trip on wednesday to assist in picking up turf ,what a GOOD day it will be for UL ( sports) I will post some photos on the event

NO I AM NOT ONE OF TO TRUCK DRIVER'S, BUT I WORK FOR THE UNIVERSITY IN THE PHYSICAL PLANT. ONE OF THE GUY'S THAT WILL HELP ON LOAD THE TURF WHEN WE GET BACK THE UNIVERSITY of LOUISIANA. ALSO LIKE ME ADD ONE MORE THING I'M VERY BLESS TO BE WORKING FOR THE UNIVERSITY.
