Default Before we put softball to bed...

On offense, we say good-bye to a warrior, but on the mound, we'll have all three of our main pitchers back (Brignac, Hamilton and Rodgers), as well as Paige Canallin and Allie Chenault. Coming in fall 2011 will be HS pitchers Maggie Ham and Jordan Wallace - both from Texas.

So, for you softball gurus, I'll help by saying that Ashley's name will be penned in as a main starter (look, somebody has to take the tough ones). Now, will Maggie Ham make a strong move into the rotation? Will we see Rodgers develop a bit more, with Ham and Wallace redshirting? waiting one more year? Will Hamilton strengthen after great start this year? Can we expect to see use of Canallin or Chenault next year as pitchers?

Pitching looks to have the potential of being a strength but with a really young group after Brignac.

Just giddy over the defense coming back and the bats. I refuse to look past next year.

I'm all for privacy laws but I'm busting worrying on it. It really looked like a bad landing/twist when she fell and I tend to worry anyhow. Not a word. Great young lady and wonderful potential so I sure hope all is oK. Our walking wounded and operated on was something else again. Bad year all around for injuries. Hope we learn something soon. Prayers and fingers crossed. Sorry, raised in NO, I cover all sides.

MRI showed that Hamilton has a torn ACL. Will have surgery in a few weeks.

Ouch! Doctors in house. Rehab for softball? OK for spring? Do I buy more aspirin? She really had a tough 2011 between emergency surgery and now this. God Bless, Kiddo. Get well soon.

Tough injury, but not a mountain to overcome. She'll be back and in form for 2012 without a doubt.
