Louisiana won its second straight Sun Belt Conference series over the weeekend
LOUISIANA La. - For the first time this season, Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball team dropped three spots to No. 20 in this week's Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Top 30 Poll, which was released Monday.
Louisiana (25-6, 4-2 Sun Belt), tied for first in the Sun Belt Conference with New Orleans, won its second straight conference series last weekend. After a loss Friday night at Arkansas State, the Cajuns came back to win the other two games in the series on Saturday and Sunday.
Last week, Louisiana used a two-run, bottom-of-the-ninth rally to take a 6-5 win over Northwestern State Tuesday night at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
For the third straight week, Louisiana remained unranked in the Baseball America Top 25 Poll.
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns return to action Wednesday when they travel to Monroe to face in-state rival Louisiana-Monroe at 6:30 p.m. at Indian Field.
