the reason I ask is because since Ashley asked the 3rd base ump what she was doing wrong she hasn't had an infraction why would she ask? doesn't she know what she is doing wrong?

It's a purely arbitrary callfrustrating. You can't change method of delivery so late in the season and expect to be effective. It was rarely called on her this season.

And I've heard many say that it offers no advantage. A rule that needs to be removed and there seems some momentum to do just that.
