BATON ROUGE - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns golf team turned in an even-par 288 in the final round of the LSU Spring Invitational, helping the squad climb seven spots to a sixth place finish in the event here Sunday at LSU's University Club.

The third-round total of 288 was the Cajuns team-best in the weekend event and helped Louisiana earn its sixth Top 10 finish of the season and third straight overall.

The Cajuns finished fourth in the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate March 14-15 and tied for eighth in the Border Olympics March 25-26.

Freshman Justin Lowe capped off a decent weekend with a sixth-place finish which tied him with Peter Badawy for the highest individual placing in the spring campaign.
