Sixteen years ago on March 28, 1989, University of Louisiana softball pitchers Cathy McAllister and Stefni Whitton whip-pitched back-to-back perfect games against Southeastern Louisiana. It was a classic case of why college softball would be more fun to play and watch if the mound were moved back a few feet. In some states, high school softball pitchers are being required to wear helmets. LINK
