The Cajuns have put themselves into the position of needing help and a near perfect finish to be in real consideration. Finishing 5-0 in the regular season for a third place finish, 3-0 in their SBC Tournament pool play bracket, and losing in the championship game could be enough. It would depend much on the play of teams in competition with the Cajuns for those final spots.

But with what I saw last night (and last Sunday in Troy), the Cajuns are not ready to do what needs to be done. A substantial reversal in play would be required.

In the context of CajunRed's post of Boyd's Pseudo RPI ranking above ... the Cajuns also have a rank of #64 in the Adjusted RPI (.5482). Fortunately #60 -> #64 are packed rather tightly ... separated by a mere .0011. #56 is only .0032 away.

To provide some perspective, there is a bigger fall to #66 (.0050) than there is an increase to #53 (.0049) on the upside.
