We didn't get a lot of hits last night, but neither did they. It was a pitching duel.

Compton didn't have to move and it was belt high or so....it didn't flip his glove, it hit off pinky finger....no reason it shouldn't have been an easy catch

[QUOTE=RaginScotsman;316259]In Compton's defense, he was there for the play but the ball was hit hard and knocked his glove back to allow it to come out.

Overall a great game and atmosphere. What I would like to see for any future games with attendance like this is to resell seats not being used. I sit in the grandstand and there were may seats with no one in them. Saw all around the stadium. Possibly if it is a sellout ask season ticket holders who know they will not be able to come email the ticket office to resell their seats. Seems simplest enough. People in those seats would generate more money and the concession stands would benifit also. A thought.

I will defend Compton a little bit. Hell, he's a true freshman and hasnt played much defense this season. He played last night, I suppose because we have a junior that is hurt, and a senior that made two errors Sunday. And neither can hit a lick this year. When he gets it, and he will, he is going to be a hitter.

Oh. and the ball was pretty well hit. Should have had it though.

You're right, but we have to scrap and get runs, especially when we are in position to with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 1 out with your cleanup guy at bat.

Glad Parker was back to his late last season form. He was dominant for the most part. He really hasnt had that great of a year coming off a solid year, hopefully this will get him going. I think he would be a good option in middle relief, especially in the conference tourney.
