This has said at least once the last 3 weeks, yet we keep hopes alive every week. If we beat Rice, I don't think this will be mentioned in the game thread.

Let's just let the last couple weeks settle out.

I got real excited last night when I was directed to radioPup. It pooped on me today. Did anyone hear Jay's interview with coach after the game today?

The chat was less than 0:20 in duration. Just a guess.

Yes....basically said it was ashamed we didn't show up and play today when we had a chance to win a series ...jay said it was probably our worst overall performance of the year, Robe agreed. Also said we need to get back and get back to work and get ready for Rice Tuesday and MT this weekend at home. Also said we have some seniors on this team, and hopefully they can get things straitened up for the last few weekends of the conference.

Excuse me for my ignorance. I just ASSumed that with the 5(?) pitchers they threw yesterday, that the Cajuns would have the advantage in that department. That being said, I think we can all agree that the hook came too late today.

Yea but they were down so much so fast 3 of those pitchers were probably the scrubs.

I suggest another player only meeting. Maybe they can redraw that line in the sand

It's certainly crunch time. We're one of the "last five in" in the most recent SE Baseball.com regional projection.

I just don't think if we finish 3rd in the regular season our rpi is good enough to make it in. Jmo, I we do we will be one of the very last if not the last team in.

Buddy answered ... the only reliever of any significance that Troy threw Saturday was Sorce (whom followed the starter Hodgskin) ... and he had been struggling entering the weekend (hence his demotion from the weekend rotation). After the Cajuns went up 8-1 and Sorce was forced from the game, Pierce did the smart thing and went with the scrubs ... four pitchers that had ERAs between 5.00 and 10.00 ... three of which had pitched only single digit innings (and the fourth 14 innings) on the year.

IOW, Pierce was not really throwing his bullpen ... he was resting for Sunday.
